Characterization
The 2700 °C dynamometer developed and built in-house by Petroceramics enables a comprehensive range of mechanical testing under diverse thermal and environmental conditions, making it suitable for a wide variety of materials.
Specifically designed for tensile, compression, shear, and bending tests, it operates from room temperature up to 2700 °C. The integrated vacuum chamber also allows the testing of carbon-based materials in controlled atmospheres.
The system is equipped with Digital Image Correlation (DIC) for high-precision, non-contact strain measurement. A dual-camera setup enables 3D reconstruction of the specimen, while thermal imaging cameras provide accurate surface temperature mapping up to 3000 °C.
The combined use of resistive and induction heating technologies, both integrated into the system, ensures fast, efficient heating and excellent adaptability to different sample geometries.
