Debinding
and Pyrolysis

Debinding and pyrolysis are essential thermal processes carried out in controlled inert atmospheres to effectively remove organic binders from preformed parts.

These crucial steps prepare advanced ceramics and carbon fiber composites for the next phase—densification—ensuring superior material performance and quality.

HT thermal
treatment

Sintering is a thermal treatment process used to bond particles cohesively and enhance the material’s strength. Depending on the material, sintering can be performed in an oxidizing atmosphere, under vacuum, or at partial gas pressure.

Vacuum sintering minimizes harmful oxidation and other reactions by limiting gas presence. It also enables precise control over temperature, pressure, and atmosphere conditions.

Petroceramics is equipped with a range of furnaces capable of vacuum, air, and partial pressure sintering. These processes are applied to a wide variety of oxide and non-oxide ceramics and composites, serving key industries such as automotive and aerospace.
